• The victory improved the Sooners to 21-1 overall (best record in the country) and to 7-0 in Big 12 play.  This marks OU's best start to a conference season since beginning 11-0 in the Big Eight in 1985.

• OU is off to the third best one-loss start in Big 12 Conference history.  Only Kansas (34-1 in 1996-97 and 23-1 in 2007-08) started better.

• Willie Warren (29) and Blake Griffin (23) combined for 52 of OU's 78 points.  They were a combined 19-for-31 from the field.  In seven road games this year, the pair has accounted for 300 of OU's 524 points (57 percent).

• Warren also grabbed a career-high six rebounds and handed out a team-high four assists.  He was 5-for-10 from behind the arc and 6-for-6 at the free throw line.  Warren is now averaging 19.9 points in road games while shooting .525 from 3-point territory (21-for-40).

• Griffin pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds for his nation-leading 18th double-double of the year.  It was his 11th game of at least 20 points and 15 boards on the year (fourth straight).

• Griffin also logged three assists.  It was his 12th game of at least three handouts this season.

• Juan Pattillo played 20 minutes off the bench and contributed 10 points, two rebounds and two blocked shots.  He is averaging 10.3 points over the last three outings while shooting .667 from the field (12-for-18).

• The Sooners scored 78 points against an Iowa State team that entered the day giving up just 62.1 per contest (third fewest in the Big 12).  Oklahoma has been held under 70 points just three times this season (69 at Tulsa, 61 at Kansas State and 69 at Texas A&M) and won all three games.

• Oklahoma's seven turnovers (tied) and 15 free throw attempts represented season lows.

• OU's .508 field goal effort marked the 12th time this season (and third straight) it shot at least .500.  The Sooners are shooting .486 on the year (the last time they shot better for an entire season was in 1988-89 when they posted a .491 figure).

• Oklahoma won for the 10th time in the last 14 meetings against Iowa State and improved to 108-77 all-time against the Cyclones.

• The Sooners are outshooting their opponents from the field during their nine-game winning streak, .507 to .376.

• Oklahoma returns to Norman for a pair of home games next week.  It plays host to Texas A&M on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CST and Colorado on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
