Baylor 77, Oklahoma 65

• Oklahoma trailed No. 6 Baylor by just two, 62-60, but was outscored 13-5 over the final four minutes of a 77-65 home loss.  The Bears shot .540 from the field, .500 (9-for-18) from 3-point range and .824 (14-for-17) from the free throw line to improve to 18-2 overall and 5-2 in the conference.

• Oklahoma trailed No. 6 Baylor just 62-60 but was outscored 13-5 over the final four minutes of a 77-65 home loss.  The Bears shot .540 from the field, .500 (9-for-18) from 3-point range and .824 (14-for-17) from the free throw line to improve to 18-2 overall and 5-2 in the conference.

• Baylor shot .640 from the field after halftime (16-for-25) and hit four of its five field goal attempts during its 13-5 game-ending run.

• OU shot .466 from the field and committed a season-low-tying eight turnovers.  It was outrebounded (31-27) for the fifth time in seven Big 12 games after outboarding 11 of its 12 non-conference opponents.

• Baylor’s win was just its fourth ever in Norman (against 18 losses) and just its second ever at Lloyd Noble Center (against 16 defeats).  The Sooners fell to 37-9 in the all-time series against the Bears (28-4 since the start of the Big 12).

• Junior guard Steven Pledger led OU in scoring for the 10th time this year, finishing with 17 points on 7-for-15 field goal and 3-for-9 3-point shooting.  He added six rebounds and four assists.

• Junior forward Romero Osby finished with 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the year (second most in the Big 12) and eighth game with at least 10 boards.  He added a pair of blocked shots and took three charges (has a team-high eight on the year).  Osby’s three dunks upped his season total to 30 (61 percent of the team’s 49 dunks).

• Junior forward Andrew Fitzgerald scored in double figures for the 14th straight game, finishing with 13 points on 6-for-14 shooting.

• Junior point guard Sam Grooms handed out seven assists without committing a turnover.  It was the ninth time in 19 games (third straight) he has committed one or no turnovers.  He boasts a 2.8 assist-to-turnover ratio (3.5 in Big 12 play).  Over the last three games, Grooms has totaled 18 assists and two turnovers.

• OU went 3-for-12 from 3-point range tonight.  After averaging 6.7 treys over their first 11 games, the Sooners are averaging 3.1 3-point makes over the last eight contests.  Pledger has 19 of the team’s 25 conversions during the stretch.

• The Sooners play at No. 22 Kansas State on Saturday at 6 p.m. CT (televised by Fox Sports Kansas City and carried by Fox Sports Oklahoma).
