Baylor 74, Oklahoma 61

• Oklahoma fell to 8-8 on the year and 0-2 in Big 12 play with a 74-61 road loss to Baylor.  The Bears shot .622 from the field and posted a 44-24 advantage in paint points to improve to 12-3 and 2-0.
 
• The Sooners trailed 36-23 before scoring the final nine points of the first half (they hit 3-pointers on the last three possessions) and the first two of the second half to draw within 36-34.  OU trailed by just three (49-46) with 11:30 remaining and by five (62-57) with 5:30 left.  Baylor ended the game on a 12-4 run.
 
• Oklahoma committed 13 turnovers to Baylor's 17 and outscored the Bears 27-11 off turnovers.
 
• The Sooners played without senior guard Cade Davis, their second leading scorer (13.1) and rebounder (5.0) on the year.  Davis' grandmother passed away earlier in the day.
 
• Sophomore guard Steven Pledger scored a team-high 17 points with the help of 5-for-10 3-point shooting.  Over the last four games, Pledger is 12-for-18 (.667) from 3-point range to up his season mark to .386.  He added two rebounds, two assists and a season-high-tying three steals while playing the entire game.
 
• Freshman guard/forward Cameron Clark, who also played all 40 minutes (third time this season), contributed 16 points, four boards, a career-high three assists and two steals.  His five highest scoring totals have come over the last eight contests.
 
• Sophomore guard Carl Blair finished with 10 points and a game-high six assists in 38 minutes.  His three steals were his most in an OU uniform.  Blair is averaging 6.0 assists over the last eight games.
 
• Sophomore forward Andrew Fitzgerald contributed nine points and five rebounds before fouling out for the second time this year.
 
• Junior Nick Thompson played 31 minutes off the bench (his most since the second game of the season) and finished with seven points and a team-high six rebounds.
 
• OU managed 13 offensive rebounds, nine more than it had against Texas A&M on Saturday.  The Sooners turned them into 16 second-chance points.
 
• Baylor's .622 field goal percentage was an OU opponent season high.  Freshman forward Perry Jones was 10-for-13 from the field and finished with 25 points and seven boards.  The Sooners held the Big 12's leading scorer, LaceDarius Dunn, to 16 points (entered game averaging 23.1).
 
• The Sooners are on the road again Saturday when they play at Texas at 3 p.m. CT (televised by the Big 12 Network).
