NORMAN, Okla. -- Throughout the summer, SoonerSports.com will bring fans weekly updates of current Sooners competing in the numerous summer baseball leagues around the country.  Fans can also access information on former Sooners playing in Major League Baseball and its minor league affiliates.

The fourth installment, along with links to each of the players' statistics, are listed below:

COLLEGIATE SUMMER LEAGUE
In the Cape Cod League, J.T. Wise (Harwich Mariners) is continuing his impressive start. On June 29, he scored two runs on three hits against the Warehem Gatemen. He is hitting a team-leading .448 with 13 hits and one homerun. He is also tied for first on the team with 10 RBIs. As of July 3, the Harwich Mariners are first place in the league with a 9-5 record.

Also in the Cape Cod League, Jamie Johnson (Bourne Braves) also had a strong outing against the Warehem Gatemen. He had two hits and an RBI in a 13-4 win over Aaron Baker’s club.  Baker continues play for the Warehem Gatemen where he has 11 hits and six RBIs.

Doug Buser (Kitsap-Bluejackets) is continuing to pad his batting statistics in the West Coast League. For the season he is leading his team with a .379 clip and 19 runs scored. He is also tied for third on the team with 10 RBIs and 22 hits.

Also playing in the West Coast League is Garrett Buechele with Palm Springs.  Buechele is hitting .245 with seven runs on 13 hits and seven RBIs.

In the Texas Collegiate League, Chad Colbert and Trey Sperring continue play for the Brazos Valley Bombers.

Jeremy Erben is establishing himself as the ace pitcher for his first place Mat-Su Miners. Through 20 innings pitched, he has allowed just 11 hits with a 0.90 ERA. Other Sooners playing for the Miners are Garrett Richards, and Michael Rocha.

Also playing in the Alaska Baseball league are Bryan Groth, Matt Haraughty and Antwonie Hubbard (Anchorage Glacier Pilots).

OKLAHOMA IN THE MINORS
Mark Redman is riding a three-game winning streak for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Class AAA). He has pitched a total of 18 innings in that span with 12 strikeouts and a combined ERA of 2.06. For the season he has pitched 52 1/3 innings with 36 strikeouts and a 5-2 record.

Following his promotion to the Class AA Connecticut Defenders, Ryan Rohlinger got off to a slow start but has since settled in.  Rohlinger has four multi-hit performances in the last 10 games to go along with a homer and three RBIs.

Jake McCarter recently signed in the Rookie Gulf Coast League. The right handed pitcher is playing in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ system.
 
SOONERS IN THE MAJORS
Jason Bartlett (Tampa Bay Rays) is riding a seven-game hitting streak. The streak began on June 24 and Bartlett has 10 hits, three RBIs and three stolen bases in that span.

In the National League, Greg Dobbs continues to hit well for the Philadelphia Phillies with a .327 batting average to go along 18 RBIs and two homeruns.
