NORMAN, Okla. -- Due to a predicted forecast of temperatures in the mid-30s Friday evening, the No. 10-ranked University of Oklahoma baseball team's first pitch time of its weekend series opener against No. 29-ranked Pepperdine at L. Dale Mitchell Park has been moved up to 3 p.m. CT. The contest was originally slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The Sooners (9-0) and the Waves (6-2) are scheduled to play Saturday at 2 p.m. CT and Sunday at 1 p.m. CT. Fans can purchase tickets online on SoonerSports.com or by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-GoOU. Sunday's game will be televised live on FOX Sports Southwest Plus.
OU is one of 13 unbeaten teams in NCAA Division I baseball and joins Mississippi State as the only squads to hold a 9-0 mark heading into the third week of the season. The Sooners are off to their best start since flying out of the gates to a 16-0 mark in 2011.
