NORMAN, Okla. -- Max White collected his eighth straight game with multiple hits and the Oklahoma offense had a season-high 11 runs on Monday during an 11-0 shutout over Mid-America University.

White has multiple hits in each of the last eight games and is hitting .529 (18-for-32) with 16 RBI in that span. He also has five doubles and four multiple-RBI games in that stretch. White has started each of the last three games at third base and has started every position in his OU career except shortstop, catcher and pitcher.

“We are swinging the bat better,” said OU Head Coach Sunny Golloway when asked about the recent position changes. “We are staying patient (at the plate).”

Oklahoma (29-16, 9-8 Big 12) has won 11 of the last 13 games and has posted six games of allowing one run or less in that span, including four shutouts after today.

White, who was named the Big 12 Player of the Week just hours before first pitch, wasn’t the only Sooner that got going on Monday as 10 different players had base knocks, including a 2-for-4 (two runs) by Hunter Lockwood.

“Every time Max goes up there, we feel like he is going to get a hit,” said Lockwood. “He’s been on fire for a while and i think it’s starting to blow onto everyone else. We just need to all get going together.”

OU got off to a slow start and led 2-0 after five innings, but the flood gates opened up in the sixth inning as the Sooners batted around the lineup and plated six runs, capped off by a three-run homer by Dillon Yeaman, his first career hit.

White drove in a run off a double in the sixth inning and gave OU some extra insurance with another double in the eighth, that drove in two more Sooner runs.

Caleb Bushyhead, Dylan Neal, Matt Oberste and Erik Ross also drove in runs for the Sooners.

The barrage of hits handed the Evangels’ Colby Crawford (4-11) the loss after a three-inning start. Crawford allowed just one run off one hit and was the first of four MACU pitchers on the day.

The Sooners also received a three-inning start by Cale Coshow but it was Jake Fisher who picked up his first win with 3 2/3 innings of shutout relief. Fisher finished with a career-high seven strikeouts and allowed just two hits and zero walks.

The Sooners return to action on Tuesday at TCU (26-15) at 6:30 p.m. The game will be televised on the Mountain Sports Network and marks the first of two meetings with the Horned Frogs, which will return the trip to Norman on Tuesday, May 15.

Following the game in Fort Worth, OU and OSU (26-17, 11-7 Big 12) will tangle in the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Bedlam Series. Friday’s opener in Tulsa is set for 7 p.m. while the series shifts to Oklahoma City on Saturday (7 p.m. ) and Sunday (4 p.m.).
