Michael Rocha jumped to 1-1 after tossing seven innings with three earned runs allowed. Arkansas little Rock’s Anthony Pryor (1-1) took the loss, with eight runs allowed on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings, as the Trojans fell to 4-5.
The Sooners jumped on the board in the first inning on a solo shot by Jamie Johnson. The leadoff home run was the second of the season for Johnson and the fourth of his career. Aaron Baker’s RBI double to center field brought home Casey Johnson to give OU a 2-0 lead.

The Sooners’ benefitted from the first of three errors on the day by Arkansas Little Rock to score the third run in the frame.
The Trojans got their first run off Rocha in the top of the third inning on Tyson Parks’ RBI single. UALR continued to chip away at the Sooners’ advantage in the next frame off the Sooners’ first error of the day.
After the top of the fourth, OU led 5-2 but the Sooners regained its four-run advantage in bottom of the frame on Casey Johnson’s second RBI of the day, a run-scoring single hit through the middle of the infield.
