2009 [JUNIOR]:
Missed first month of the season recovering from surgery (torn labrum) ... Made first appearance against Central Arkansas and did not allow a run with two strikeouts in one inning of work ... Did not surrender a run in first three appearances, including a relief appearance of 4 1/3 innings against Missouri ... The span also saw his first win of the year in his first start ... Lasted five innings of two-hit ball and did not surrender a run to Texas Tech ... Took the loss in his next outing at Texas ... Named to the All-Big 12 second team by the league's coaches ... Started the season in the Sooners' bullpen ... Quickly moved into the No. 1 spot in the starting rotation with first start on Feb. 10 vs. UNC-Wilmington ... Led the team with 15 starts and 99 strikeouts, a mark that led the Big 12 prior to the NCAA Tournament ... Led all conference hurlers with 59 strikeouts in Big 12 play ... Had five or more strikeouts in 12 of his 15 outings ... Finished the season with a 7-5 record, the same mark he recorded in 2006 at Tulane ... Tossed five scoreless outings, including the first complete-game shutout of his career on April 14 against Nebraska (career-high nine innings) ...
