All-Big 12 second team member after hitting nine homers and driving in 22 runs in Big 12 play ... Named to the Norman Regional All-Tournament team ... Helped eliminate Washington State in the NCAA Tournament with his first career grand slam ... Hit .385 in the regional with two homers and five RBIs ... Finished the year ranked fourth in the Big 12 with 15 home runs ... Has driven in 167 runs, eighth all-time at Oklahoma ... Became first player to drive in 50-plus runs in three consecutive seasons since Casey Bookout (1997-99) ... Solid defensive player with .991 fielding percentage in over 180 games played ... Hit .500 in the Tempe Regional with three homers and five runs driven in and was named to the All-Tournament team ... Seven-game multiple-hit streak snapped in season finale ... Hit .536 with nine RBIs and three homers in that streak ... Hit his fifth ninth-inning homer to eliminate Vanderbilt, 11-10, in the Tempe Regional... Led OU in the Big 12 Championship with a .545 batting average and three RBIs ... Hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning in the series finale against Nebraska to give OU an 8-6 lead ... Led the team with nine homers, 61 RBIs (ninth in Big 12) and 19 multiple-RBI games ... Has 111 career RBIs and is the first player since Ryan Rohlinger (2005-06) to drive in 50 or more runs in consecutive seasons ... Selected to the 2007 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team by Collegiate Baseball and Rivals.com ... Sixth Sooner to collect the accolade and the first since 2005 ... Named All-Big 12 honorable mention and was also tabbed the Big 12's Newcomer of the Year by the Daily Oklahoman and the Fort Worth Star Telegram ... Came off the bench on opening day and started every game after for the Sooners at first base (except one start at catcher) ... Only Sooner to play in every game in 2007 ... Collected at least one hit in all but 10 games ... Tied two school records with five hits and five runs against Western Illinois on Feb. 24 ... Finished the year with an OU freshman record 50 RBIs (second most on the team) ... Had a season-high three RBIs in three games ... Four-year letterwinner at Denton High School under Marty Green ... Career .420 hitter with 21 home runs and 120 RBIs ... Hit .470 with 12 homers and 40 RBIs as a senior en route to earning first team All-State honors as a catcher ...
