Big 12's Rescheduled For Feb. 23-24

Conference meet delayed a day due to inclement weather conditions

AMES, Iowa - The 2013 Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships have been postponed due to inclement weather conditions throughout the Midwest, it was announced by the league office Thursday night.

Some teams and meet officials have been delayed arriving to Ames, prompting conference, school and meet officials to reschedule the start of the event.

The meet, originally scheduled to run Friday, Feb. 22-Saturday, Feb. 23, will now begin on Saturday, Feb. 23 and conclude on Sunday, Feb. 24. The meet will be run at Iowa State's Lied Recreation Center. The original schedule will be maintained throughout the weekend-long competition.

Action will begin at 10 a.m. CST Saturday with the multi-events. Both field events and track events will begin at 3 p.m. The final event Friday, the men's distance medley, will takeoff at 9 p.m. Sunday's competition will begin at 11 a.m. with multi-events. Field events are slated to begin at noon, with running events to follow at 1:30 p.m. The men's 4 x 400-meter relay will conclude the two-day meet at 5:25 p.m. on Sunday.
