NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma track and field team will play host to the Sooner Invitational all day Saturday at the Mosier Indoor Facility. Field events begin at 11 a.m. CT, with track events to start at 12:30 p.m. CT. Admission to the meet is free for all of those planning to attend.
Joining the Sooners at the meet are Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, Oklahoma Baptist, Incarnate Word, North Texas, Northwood, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, UT-Arlington, Texas State, and Tulsa. Select individuals from other universities will also be in attendance.

A total of 21 men and 20 women are entered in 12 and nine events, respectively, to represent the Sooners.
The men’s track and field team enters the weekend ranked No. 15 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings. The Sooners are fifth in the Midwest Region, while the women’s team is 12th in the latest regional ranking.
Nationally, four members of the men’s squad are ranked in the top-25 of their respective events, while two members of the women’s team are also find themselves in the latest poll.
Kevin Williams sits second in the 5,000-meter and 22nd in the 3,000-meter run, while Pat Casey is first in the mile and 11th in the 3,000-meter run, following this weekend’s performances. Two other Sooners are ranked in the top-25 of their respective events as Frezer Legesse is 19th in the mile and Tre’ Lathan sits 14th in the 60-meter hurdles.
On the women’s side, Tia Brooks remains first in the shot put, while Claire McConnell is 20th in the pentathlon in the latest national rankings.
Saturday marks the final regular-season meet of the indoor season for the Sooners, who will head north to Ames, Iowa, next weekend for the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships.
