Men's Track Team No. 9 in Preseason Dual Poll

To be considered for the indoor rankings, a team must compete in at least one dual meet during the indoor season, using TFN's definition of a dual meet as a scored meet between four or fewer teams.

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma men’s track and field team is ranked ninth in Track and Field News Men’s Preseason Indoor Rankings. The rankings rate teams according to their ability to compete in dual meets.

Oklahoma is joined by one fellow Big 12 member, No. 3 Texas.

The Sooners host the J.D. Martin Invitational Duals on Saturday, Jan. 19, which will feature Grambling, UT Arlington and North Texas, and will conclude the indoor regular season by hosting the Sooner Invitational Duals on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Oklahoma begins its 2013 indoor season this Saturday with the Nittany Lion Challenge in University Park, Pa., hosted by Penn State. 

To be considered for the indoor rankings, a team must compete in at least one dual meet during the indoor season, using TFN's definition of a dual meet as a scored meet between four or fewer teams. Rankings will be kept during the outdoor season for a combined indoor/outdoor season.

The next men's indoor rankings will be released on Wednesday, January 23. The next women's indoor rankings will be released on Wednesday, January 15. Each will recognize the top twenty teams.
