2006-2007 : (Indoor) Big 12 Indoor Champion in the shot put ... Won competition with a throw of 61-11.75 (18.89) ... Began his first collegiate indoor campaign with a victory in the shot put at 61-5.00 (18.72) at the Razorback Invitational (Jan. 19) ... Won the J.D. Martin Invitational (Feb. 3) at 61-0.75 (18.61) ... Finished fifth at the Tyson Invitational (Feb. 9) at 60-11.25 (18.57) and returned to Norman the next day to win the Oklahoma Christian Indoor (Feb. 10) at 61-10.00 ... Suffered an injury to his throwing hand during warmups at the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 10), but managed to finish 11th with a put of 59-9.00 (18.21). (Outdoor) Earned All-America honors with fifth-place finish in the shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 9), putting a best of 62-9.50 (19.14)... Midwest Region shot put champion with a best of 63-0.75 (19.22) ... Big 12 Outdoor Champion in the shot put ... Dominated the competition winning by nearly six feet with a 62-8.50 (19.11) toss ... Placed second in the discus throw at 186-5 (56.82) ... Broke the school shot put record with his 64-2.50 (19.57) heave during the John McDonnell Invitational (April 21) ... Was the top collegiate finisher in each of his three regular-season appearances in the shot put ... Recovered from wrist injury suffered during NCAA Indoor Championships to put a regional qualifying mark of 59-9.75 (18.23) at the John Jacobs Invitational (April 14) ... Opened the season with a personal best discus throw of 186-10 (56.95) to finish second in section B at the Texas Relays (April 6).

2005-2006: (Indoor) Did not compete due to participation in basketball. (Outdoor) Finished 12th at nationals in the shot put with a finals best of 60 feet, 7.25 inches (18.47 meters) ... Was fifth after the preliminaries after throwing a personal best 62-11.25 (19.18) ... Qualified for his third national championship with a fourth-place (best by a non-senior) at the Midwest Regional ... Threw 61-1.25 (18.62) ... Third place in the shot put at the Big 12 Championships (May 14) with a season-best throw of 61-3.00 (18.67) ... Finished outside a scoring position by three feet with a ninth-place in the discus throw (170-8) ... Opened the season throwing a regional qualifying mark of 57-9.00 (17.60) in the shot put ... Swept shot and discus titles at the Jacobs Invitational (April 15) with throws of 59-9.00 (18.21) and 170-0 (51.83), respectively ... Academic All-Big 12 First Team member.

2004-2005: (Indoor) Did not compete due to participation in basketball. (Outdoor) Established a personal record shot put throw of 61-9.5 at the NCAA National Championships on his way to a seventh place finish, earning All-America honors for the second time ... Just missed a PR in discus with a 173-7 throw at the Big 12 meet ... Placed fifth and seventh, respectively, at the conference meet ... Qualified for his second NCAA championship with a fourth-place throw of 60-6.75 at the Midwest Regional.

2003-2004: Redshirted after having surgery on shoulder during the basketball season.

2002-2003: (Indoor) Did not compete while starting for OU's Elite Eight basketball team. (Outdoor) Earned All-America honors in the shot put ... Finished eighth at NCAAs with a season best mark of 61-4.75 ... Won the shot put in his division of the Texas Relays after just four days of practice ... Won his first three shot put competitions before finishing fifth at Drake Relays ... Marked the first loss in his shot put career going back through his high school days ... Recorded an NCAA regional qualifying mark in the shot put in every competition he entered (seven) ... Opened competition in the discus at the John Jacobs Invitational, the first time he and older brother, Kyle, had competed against each other ... Named the Big 12 Male Track and Field Athlete of the Week on April 21 for his efforts at the Michael Johnson Classic ... Finished second in the shot put at the NCAA Midwest Regional ... Had his best throw of the competition, 60-6.75, on the first throw ... Also competed in the discus at the regional meet, posting a season best 174-1 but failed to make the final ... Finished fourth (59-10.25) at the Big 12 meet in the shot put and eighth in the discus (171-10)... Advanced to the final eight at the NCAA with a preliminary throw of 60-8.5... Invited to the USA Basketball Trials held during the weekend of NCAA Regionals ... Was granted an exemption because of his competition in the regional.

High School: Won eight state track titles -- four shot and four discus ... Threw the shot 70-1 and the discus 203-2 at the regional meet his senior year to become one of the first in U.S. high school competition to join the 70/200 club in the same meet ... Set the state meet record in the shot with a throw of 68-4.75 as a senior, breaking a record previously held by his older brother, Kyle ... Won discus title with a throw of 196-7, breaking another record previously held by Kyle ... Set state record in career home runs with 65 ... Second Team Parade All-American in basketball ... Led the 2002 basketball team to its first state championship title in 40 years ...Averaged 30.6 points and 16.2 rebounds in leading team to a 28-3 record ... Ended career with 2,802 points, ninth best all-time in Oklahoma prep history.

Other: Ended OU basketball career with 1,108 points (26th all-time) and ranked second in school history with .574 percent free-throw shooting ... Met the Olympic qualifying standard but was not be able to compete following shoulder surgery in February 2004 ... Was the best junior shot putter in the nation at 71-1, according to USA Today ... Ranked among the top weight throwers in the high school ranks ... Ended career ranked eighth all-time in the shot put in the history of high school track ... Ranked seventh all-time in the discus ... Recorded the best throw in the nation three years in a row (2000-02) ... Also ranked number one in the nation three years in a row (2000-02) ...
