Pom Squad
The OU Pom Pon Squad supports the athletics teams at the University of Oklahoma by generating crowd enthusiasm. Also, the OU Pom Pon Squad represents the university at a variety of alumni, civic, and charitable events.
 
The University of Oklahoma Pom Pon Squad members are representatives of the University and should display a positive and courteous manner at all times. The OU Pom program is under the Marketing & Promotions Department within the OU Athletics Department, managed by the Spirit Coordinator, and directly supervised by the OU Pom Coach.
 
The OU Pom Pon squad consists of a maximum eighteen (18) members. Alternates may be chosen by the Pom Coach and receive no scholarship.
 
Auditions
You are evaluated on how much POTENTIAL you have to become a collegiate pom squad member and to contribute to our style of dance.

Basic Requirements:
• Incoming freshmen ARE eligible to tryout.
• Transfer students with at minimum 2.0GPA are eligible to tryout.
• Current OU student must be enrolled full-time (12 hours) to be eligible to tryout.
• Tryout Application, Liability Release and $20 Fee must be submitted at each audition.
• Although you may not be admitted to the University at the time of your private audition, you must show proof of admission, i.e. student ID or admission letter, to attend the final call-backs.
 
Please select your tryout date/time as soon as possible, as sessions fill up quickly. Tryouts are set in 20 minute sessions. Please contact Melissa Thomas by calling (405) 401-3541 or via email at oupomsquad@ou.edu to set your appointment.
