Lambropoulos joined the Sooners in 2012 from the University of Illinois.

Lambropoulos has experience with junior players in the Chicagoland area and multiple tennis camps at the University of Illinois and Northwestern University.

Lambropoulos has earned many tennis awards throughout her career including second most doubles wins in Illinois women's tennis history and sixth most singles wins in Illinois Women's tennis history.

"Marisa was the type of player you would love to coach and have on any team. She is all about putting her team first and working hard to ensure she can always contribute to her team's success," Mullins said. "She battled through three wrist surgeries during her college career yet led the university of Illinois to one of their best finishes in program history last year."

Lambropoulos graduated from the University of Illinois where she played tennis for four years. She won the Strength and Conditioning Award, which is voted on by teammates and coaches. She also secured three 20-win seasons in doubles as well as two straight 20-win seasons in singles.

"The attributes that made her such a tough competitor and wonderful teammate as player will serve her very well in her role here at OU and in her future coaching endeavors. We are extremely fortunate to have her helping us this year and I know she will make a big impact on our teams success," Mullins added.

Lambropoulos was a second-team All-Big Ten honoree in 2012 and a Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree in 2010.

"I am extremely excited to work under Dave and Cristina. They have both proven themselves as great coaches over the years, and I know I'll learn a lot from them," said Lamborpoulos.
