Bryan Goodman

Bryan Goodman, who served four years as OU's director of basketball operations, was promoted to assistant coach in June 2010.

Goodman, 37, has 10 years of experience as a collegiate assistant coach, six of them at the Division I level at Bucknell University.  He helped the Bison to a 105-76 (.580) overall record during his tenure, including a 52-30 (.634) Patriot League mark. Bucknell posted combined 50-15 (.769) overall and 24-4 (.857) conference records in his final two years, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament each season.

In 2005, No. 14 seed Bucknell downed No. 3 seed Kansas, 64-63, inside Oklahoma City's Ford Center. In March 2006, the ninth-seeded Bison eliminated eighth-seeded Arkansas, 59-55, in Dallas. They finished the 2005-06 campaign with a 27-5 record and went 14-0 in Patriot League play.

Goodman began his coaching career in the 1996-97 season at Barat College, his alma mater, in Lake Forest, Ill.  After two seasons, he went to Susquehanna (Pa.) University where he logged two more years as an assistant coach (1998-99 and 1999-00).

Goodman graduated from Barat College in 1996 with a degree in interdisciplinary social science and earned a master's degree in history from DePaul University in 1998.  He lettered three times as a point guard at Barat and served as a team captain his final two seasons.  He was an academic All-American as a senior.

Born in Ankara, Turkey, and raised in Choctaw, Okla., Goodman and his wife, Amy, have three children -- Grace, Reece and Clark -- all born in January 2006.
