Turned a pupil into the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year for the second straight season in 2011 as Frank Alexander was also the Big 12 Co-Defensive Player of the Year. Both of his starting ends were named All-Big 12 as Ronnell Lewis was placed on the first team as well. The two combined for 32 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Returned to the defensive end position for 2010, and helped Jeremy Beal rank among the top 20 nationally in tackles for loss. He ranked second among Big 12 DEs with 9.0 sacks.

Secondary ranked No. 10 nationally in pass efficiency defense in 2009. Four players received All-Big 12 honors. The `09 defense gave up fewest passing yards in Big 12.

The 2004 DEs, Dan Cody, Jonathan Jackson and Larry Birdine, were No. 1, 2 and 3, respectively, in Big 12 sacks.

As special teams coordinator in 2004, he saw OU rank No. 1 in the Big 12 in kickoff coverage (15.7 ypr.).

In 2003, his ends had 35 TFL, 20 sacks and 59 hurries. In `02, the DEs accounted for nearly half of the team's sacks. In `01, the ends combined for 21 tackles for loss.
