Playing in its first NCAA Championship in five years, OU finished at +66 to place 28th. With a score of +1, senior Ryan Sirman tied for 20th place out of 155 individuals to lead the Sooners.

Sophomore Abraham Ancer and senior Ryan Sirman were also named to the PING All-Central Region Team last week.

The Sooners were eliminated from the 2011 Women's College World Series Saturday afternoon by Missouri, 4-1. OU dropped its opening game to No. 1 Arizona State, 3-1.

Oklahoma ended the year with a 43-19 overall record and made its first WCWS appearance since a string of five straight from 2000-04.

Mookie Salaam was named the 2011 USTFCCCA Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year, while Associate Head Women's Coach Dana Boone was named the Assistant Coach of the Year.

OU travels to Des Moines, Iowa, for the NCAA Outdoor Championships, June 8-11. The No. 5 Oklahoma women have 12 entries while the Sooner men have four.
