Mathis, Samantha Ricketts and Lindsey Vandever highlighted the Coaches All-Big 12 first team while seniors Susan Ogden and Lauren Eckermann collected second team honors. The Sooners tied with Texas A&M, the Big 12 regular season champions, with the most first team selections. Oklahoma has placed at least five members on the All-Big 12 teams every year since the inception of the league in 1996.          <description><![CDATA[OU senior pitcher Lauren Eckermann was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI Softball First Team released on Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America. It marks the second consecutive year the Sooners have produced an all-district selection. As a first team all-district member, Eckermann will be nominated for consideration for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American team. The Sooners have had seven Academic All-Americans in their history. Eckermann has also been recognized this year for her community involvement as she was chosen as one of 10 softball finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award earlier this season. The finalists were chosen from a list of 30 candidates based on personal qualities that define a complete student-athlete which include classroom, community, character and competition. The senior hurler has had a solid senior season for the Sooners in the circle as she finished the Big 12 regular season with a 1.33 ERA in conference action, which was second among all Big 12 players.]]></description>
