The Sooner Sports TV staff began with 8,000 films in its own library and worked to get those identified and transferred to a digital format. More than 8,000 man hours were invested in completing the project.

Parts I, II and III are currently available for purchase on DVD. Part IV, covering 1989 through the present day, is scheduled for release in the fall of 2013.

The History of Oklahoma Football DVD series is produced and directed by Brandon Meier, Assistant Athletics Director for Broadcast Operations, and Jacob Potter, Director of Programming and Production for Sooner Sports TV.
