Programs

The Kerr Sooner Career Center offers a variety of career development programming for our student-athletes throughout the year. These seminars presented by regional and national companies allow our student-athletes to gain insight and information into their particular field of interest.
 
A student-athlete's personal development is not forgotten by our staff. With this is mind, we provide adequate programming that enhances the student-athlete's professional profile such as business etiquette, networking, and financial management to name a few.
 
The Kerr Sooner Career Center is linked to the OU Career Services Office on campus, which complements the center by offering effective job-hunting skills, on-line resume services, and training and career resources.
 
We have also added a new component to market the skills of our student-athletes with CareerAthletes.com. This on-line resource gives current and former OU student-athletes an additional way to search and apply for employment, internship, and networking opportunities locally, regionally and nationally.
 
This is one of the few on-line services in the country that is specifically devoted to the career development of student-athletes, and we are one of the first universities to offer this service to our student-athletes.

In addition to providing a connecting point for student-athletes and potential employers, CareerAthletes.com supplements the center by allowing the posting of job and internship opportunities throughout the year. These employment/internship opportunities can be listed electronically free of charge to give OU student-athletes to browse and apply through various offerings from your respective companies and organizations.
