#ChampU Visits D.C.
NORMAN, Okla. -- The four University of Oklahoma teams that won NCAA National Championships during the 2016-17 school year are in Washington, D.C., Friday at the invitation of President Donald Trump.
The teams, which will be joined by national champion squads from other schools, will be recognized at the White House before spending the afternoon touring other landmarks in the nation's capital.
The softball team, men's golf team and men's and women's gymnastics teams and their staffs will be on the trip, which will be led by Vice President and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione.
This will mark the first time a Sooner team has visited the White House since 2014 when the softball team was recognized for its 2013 national title.
No truth to the rumor that another wing was added to the WH to handle four teams from one school.— Kenny Mossman (@Kenny_Mossman) November 17, 2017
