NORMAN – Oklahoma swept the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Weekly Awards announced by the league office Monday. Vionise Pierre-Louis was selected as the Big 12’s Player of the Week, while Ana Llanusa was recognized as the Big 12 Freshman of the Week.

Pierre-Louis, who was named the conference’s player of the week for the second time this season, averaged 19.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per game in OU’s two victories over Kansas State and then No. 21 West Virginia. Pierre-Louis led the Sooners with 26 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks against Kansas State last Wednesday for her eighth double-double of the year.

The senior added 16 points, six rebounds and a season-high five blocks against the Mountaineers on Saturday. Against West Virginia, Pierre-Louis became the third Sooner to recorded at least 200 blocks in their career, joining Courtney Paris and LaNae Jones. The senior has scored in double figures in 10 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 4.

Llanusa earned her second Big 12 Freshman of the Week honor after finishing with 19.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game and a .500 3-point shooting percentage versus Kansas State and West Virginia. The freshman led the way in OU’s 76-57 win over the Mountaineers, tying her season high with 27 points on 9-of-14 shooting.

Llanusa set her career high with six triples, just one shy of tying the OU freshman record for a single game. Her 27 points are the most points scored by a Big 12 freshman in a conference game this season. She joins Courtney Paris and Aaryn Ellenberg as the only Sooners with two games of at least 27 points during their freshman season.

Against Kansas State, Llanusa added 11 points, six rebounds and four assists. She finished the week with a .500 shooting percentage from the field and from 3-point range.

OU has won six of the 13 Big 12 Freshman of the Week awards this season. Shaina Pellington has claimed the honor on three occasions, while Mandy Simpson won the award during the opening week of the season. It is the second time in the Big 12 era that OU has won Big 12 Freshman of the Week at least six times in one year. During the 2006-07 season, Courtney Paris won the award eight times.

The Sooners take on No. 3/3 Baylor on Monday inside Ferrell Center on Fox Sports 1. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. CT.
