Pierre-Louis Named Big 12 Co-Player of the Week

NORMAN – Oklahoma senior center Vionise Pierre-Louis was recognized as the Big 12 Co-Player of the Week on Monday, the league office announced.

Pierre-Louis averaged 19.5 points on .722 shooting, 11.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in OU’s two games last week. The senior scored 25 points and tied her career high with 16 rebounds at DePaul last Monday, before recording 14 points and six rebounds in just 17 minutes against SMU Friday night. Pierre-Louis shared Player of the Week honors with West Virginia forward Teanna Muldrow.

The Lake Worth, Fla., native ranks third in Division I with a .793 field goal percentage through three games. The senior is also 38th nationally in rebounds per game and 44th in scoring average.

Pierre-Louis is averaging a team-high 21.0 points and 11.3 rebounds per contest, recording two double-doubles through OU’s first three games.

Oklahoma faces Colorado State on Tuesday night in Fort Collins, Colo., with tip-off set for 8 p.m. CT. The game will air live on the Sooner Radio Network and on the TuneIn app.
