NORMAN – Oklahoma men's basketball will open the 2018 Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis against Florida on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Paradise Island, Bahamas, the tournament announced Tuesday.

The Sooners' matchup against the Gators will tip at 11 a.m. CT at Imperial Arena inside the Atlantis resort and will be televised on ESPN.

Oklahoma and Florida have met only two previous times on the hardwood with the Gators winning both matchups. The two teams most recently met in Norman in 2017 as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

Oklahoma will face either Stanford or Wisconsin in the second round on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 22). OU is 1-2 all-time against Stanford and has not faced the Cardinal since the 1997 NCAA Tournament. Should the Sooners face the Badgers in the second round, it will be the fourth meeting between the two programs in the past five seasons. OU is 4-5 all-time against Wisconsin.

The opposite side of the Battle 4 Atlantis bracket features Butler against Dayton and Middle Tennessee versus Virginia. The final game of the tournament will be played on Friday, Nov. 23, highlighted by the championship game at 1 p.m. CT on ESPN.

The eight Battle 4 Atlantis teams have combined for 155 NCAA Tournament appearances, 21 Final Four showings and four national championships.

The Sooners will make their second appearance in the Battle 4 Atlantis, previously claiming second place in 2014 with wins over UCLA and Butler before falling to Wisconsin in the title game.

Battle 4 Atlantis ticket and travel packages can be booked by calling 1-800-Atlantis or AtlantisBahamas.com/B4A/Oklahoma. Each game will be televised on ESPN networks and available to stream via the ESPN app.
