The University of Oklahoma volleyball team is on the road Wednesday, October 25 against No. 11 Kansas. The Sooners and Jayhawks take the floor at the Horesji Center for a 6:30 p.m. start. ABOUT THE SOONERS
Oklahoma is 5-16 overall and 2-6 in the Big 12 following a four-set loss to No. 3 Texas at McCasland Field House on Sunday. Junior outside hitter Alyssa Enneking leads the Sooners’ offense with 4.05 kills and the defense with 2.97 digs per set. Junior outside hitter Madison Drescher is second on the team with 2.88 kills per set. Guiding the OU attack is junior setter Audrey Alford, who has lifted her assists per set average to 9.00 since the Sooners returned to running a 5-1 offense. Defensively, she contributed 1.92 digs per set. Redshirt-junior defensive specialist Rachel Manriquez reclaimed the starting libero position at Baylor (Sept. 30), averaging 3.36 digs and 1.32 assists per set since then, to lift her season average to 2.42 digs per set.
SCOUTING THE JAYHAWKS
No. 11 Kansas is 18-3 on the year and 7-1 in the Big 12. The Jayhawks lone conference loss was to No. 5 Texas (Oct. 11) and immediately followed by sweeps of No. 24 Baylor (Oct. 18) and Texas Tech (Oct. 21). Reigning Big 12 Player of the Year Kelsie Payne leads KU with 3.95 kills per set on a .320 hitting percentage. Fellow outside hitter Madison Rigdon is second with 3.72 kills to go with 2.51 digs per set. Setter Ainise Havili, a three-time All-American and two-time Big 12 Setter of the Year, manages the Kansas attack to the tune of 11.84 assists, while adding 3.23 digs per set. The Jayhawks are hitting a collective .271 as a team and holding opponents to a .201 attack rate.
LAST TIME THEY MET
Oklahoma fell behind two sets to none on October 7 before rallying to win the third, 26-24. No. 11 Kansas then dominated the fourth, 25-11, to clinch the match. Alyssa Enneking led all players with 16 kills, while Kelsie Payne powered the Jayhawks’ attack with 13. Ainise Havili notched a double-double with 46 assists and 14 digs. Enneking added 11 digs for her ninth double-double of the season.
ALL-TIME VS. KANSAS
Oklahoma leads the all-time series, 48-38. Kansas swept the season series in 2012 and won its third in a row against the Sooners in Lawrence on October 9, 2013. OU ended that streak with a 3-1 win at home on November 20, 2013. The series started with a 2-0 OU win in 1976. KU has been ranked in each of the last seven match-ups, including a Sooner win at home in 2014 against the No. 23 Jayhawks.

The Sooners host Baylor for their second "Fan Appreciation" match of the season on Saturday. Admission is free and doors open at 1 p.m. for a 2 p.m. match prior to the OU football game.
Over the last five matches, Madison Drescher is averaging 3.44 kills per set; reaching double figures in four of five. She began that stretch with a 13-kill effort by hitting .312 in a sweep of Texas Tech (Oct. 4). Against No. 3 Texas (Oct. 22), Drescher began the match with 10 kills on her first 10 swings and finished the day with 17 kills.
BY THE NUMBERS: OU VS. KU
In five start at libero against Kansas, Rachel Manriquez has averaged 3.50 digs per set. She has reached double figures in four of five matches, including 22 in four sets against the Jayhawks at home in 2016. Audrey Alford has started four matches at setter against KU; averaging 10.20 assists per set, including a 51-assist effort at home last year. Alyssa Enneking has made three starts and come off the bench once vs. Kansas. In those matches, she has averaged 2.75 digs and 2.58 kills with two double-doubles in the last two contests.
