NORMAN, Okla. – The University of Oklahoma baseball and softball teams will air a full slate of games in the Norman area on KREF 1400 AM/99.3 FM and KEBC 1560 AM. All 56 regular season games for the Sooner Baseball team will once again find a home with Sportstalk 1400, while the Sooner softball team begins 2017 with its first of 55 regular season games on The Franchise 2 1560 on Thursday against Auburn in a rematch of the WCWS Championship.
Toby Rowland will anchor the play-by-play coverage of OU baseball for the fifth season, while Chris Plank returns for his second year as the voice of OU softball. Plank and the defending National Champions kick off the spring schedule of 111 combined regular season games at 1 pm on Thursday, February 9 from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Softball communications director Karl Anderson will also provide color commentary alongside Plank on road games throughout the season.
Baseball opens 2017 on the road next week with a three-game series at Long Beach State in California. Brendan Flynn, the team’s communications director will cover the season-opening series along with select road games, while Rowland fulfills his OU men’s basketball responsibilities. OU baseball alum Ross Hubbard will join Rowland in the booth on color commentary for Big 12 series, which will air across the Sooner Sports Network. The Sooners' series at Michigan as well as midweek games against Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts and Dallas Baptist will also air on the network.

Sooner Sports TV will combine to broadcast 31 games from L. Dale Mitchell Park and Marita Hynes Field. All games televised by Sooner Sports TV will air across the FOX Sports family of networks and can be streamed online or on mobile through FOXSPORTSGO. The remaining home games not designated for television broadcasts can be streamed at SoonerSports.tv with a premium subscription.
Veteran OU and Big 12 broadcaster Chad McKee will once again anchor the Sooners television coverage; providing play-by-play. Rowland and Plank can also be seen calling several games from the television booth on earl-season games that will simulcast on radio. Former OU and MLB pitcher George Frazier and MLB all-star Mickey Tettleton will provide color commentary on baseball throughout the season, while Sooner All-American Destinee Martinez will provide color on softball telecasts.
