2015 Big 12 Champions

Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State 58-23 on Nov. 28, 2015 in Stillwater, claiming its ninth Big 12 title and a spot in the College Football Playoff.

The Sooners finished Big 12 play with an 8-1 league record to claim the title outright. The meeting against Oklahoma State was just third time the rivals met when both were ranked in the top 10.

2012 Big 12 Champions

Oklahoma notched its eighth Big 12 title in the past 13 years by finishing 8-1 in league play during the 2012 season. The Sooners shared the championship with Kansas State (also 8-1).

The Sooners sealed a share of the title on December 1, 2012, with a 24-17 win at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth against TCU.

2010 Big 12 Champions

Oklahoma kept the conference title in the Big 12 family. Nebraska headed to the Big Ten with one more sour championship-game memory.

Travis Lewis had an interception in the end zone and recovered two fumbles, and the Sooners rallied from a 17-point deficit to beat Nebraska 23-20 in the Cornhuskers' last stand in the conference.

Oklahoma won its seventh Big 12 title -- more than twice as many as any other school.

2008 Big 12 Champions

By the time Mossis Madu sprinted into the end zone in a half-empty stadium, Oklahoma was done making its point.

Here's what Sam Bradford and the high-scoring Sooners wanted to drive home: they belong in the BCS Championship Game.

The No. 4 Sooners did that with a 62-21 blowout of No. 19 Missouri for the Big 12 title Saturday night. Taking advantage of an opportunity many felt it didn't deserve, the highest-scoring team in major college football history romped.

2007 Big 12 Champions

Missouri's pain turned out to be Oklahoma's pleasure. The top-ranked Tigers' BCS dreams died Saturday night at the hands - and feet - of the Sooners in the Big 12 title game.

No. 9 Oklahoma, a regular at Big 12 titles, showed Missouri what it takes to win one: defense and a bruising running game near the goal line.

Oklahoma rushed for three touchdowns, quarterback Sam Bradford threw for two more and the Sooners coolly captured their fifth.

2006 Big 12 Champions

Oklahoma's ground game got the eighth-ranked Sooners to the Big 12 title game. The Sooners went to the air to reach the Bowl Championship Series -- even if it wasn't the game they had dreamed of coming into the season.

Paul Thompson threw two touchdown passes to Malcolm Kelly and led the longest scoring drive in Big 12 championship history, leading Oklahoma to a 21-7 victory over No. 19 Nebraska.

2004 Big 12 Champions

Munching on an orange after the game, Oklahoma tailback Adrian Peterson had a pretty good idea of where the Sooners are heading next.

OU made its Orange Bowl invitation a no-brainer Saturday night, getting three touchdowns passing from Jason White and three more running from Peterson in a near-flawless 42-3 dismantling of Colorado in the Big 12 title game.

2002 Big 12 Champions

With no national championship berth on the line, Oklahoma and Colorado didn't pack the house for Saturday night's Big 12 title game.

At least the Sooners are headed for one of college football's coveted Bowl Championship Series spots, a nice consolation prize for missing out on the Fiesta Bowl.

Nate Hybl threw two touchdowns passes and Quentin Griffin ran for a championship game-record 188 yards.

2000 Big 12 Champions

Oklahoma reached into its past to get where the Sooners of old used to be - in the Orange Bowl playing for a national championship.

A surprise option pitch on fourth-and-inches turned into a 22-yard gain by Quentin Griffin and set up Josh Heupel's 17-yard go-ahead touchdown pass in No. 1 Oklahoma's 27-24 victory over No. 8 Kansas State in the Big 12 title game Saturday night.
