CORVALLIS, Ore. - The fourth-ranked Oklahoma women's gymnastics team lost its first regular season meet since 2009 Friday to No. 7 Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore., 196.525-195.975.

Oklahoma (3-1, 0-0 Big 12) started the night ahead of the Beavers but fell behind by .350 heading into the final rotation.  Despite a fall from OSU in the leadoff position, the Beavers posted a 49.300 on floor to secure the upset over the Sooners.

With the loss, OU's nation-leading regular season win streak was snapped at 32 victories.  The Sooners' last regular season loss was to Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on March 13, 2009.

OU's Megan Ferguson and Taylor Spears took home three event titles for the Sooners.  Spears won both the vault title with a career-high 9.875 and a share of the beam title with Ferguson (both with a score of 9.875).

OU started the night on bars with a 49.025 to take the lead over Oregon State's 48.850 on vault.

The Sooners counted three scores of 9.825 on bars to help take the lead over the Beavers.  Both freshmen in the bar lineup, Erica Brewer and Rebecca Clark, posted career-highs with a pair of 9.825s while Spears also posted a 9.825 on the apparatus.

Oregon State took the lead at the halfway point with a 49.275-showing on bars while the Sooners posted a 48.950 on vault.  

OU won the team vault title with the 48.950 after three Sooners posted scores of 9.8 or higher. Spears won the individual vault title with a career-high 9.875 on the event.  Brie Olson added a score of 9.85 on vault for OU, while Clark posted a 9.8.

After the third rotation, OSU increased its lead to 147.225-146.875 with a 49.100 performance on beam while OU scored a 48.900 on floor.

Ferguson led the Sooners on floor with a 9.85 in the anchor position while Olson and Sara Stone both posted a 9.825 on the event.

The Sooners ended the night on beam, trailing OSU by .350 heading into the final rotation.

Ferguson and Spears posted the highest beam scores of the night with a pair of 9.875s to share the event title. Kayla Nowak posted OU's third score of 9.8 or higher on beam with a 9.825 from the leadoff position.

The Beavers clinched the win with a 49.300 score on floor, boosted by a 9.925 from Makayla Stambaugh in the anchor position.

Next up, OU heads to Denton, Texas, Saturday, Jan. 21 for a quad meet at TWU with Centenary and Utah State at 7 p.m. at Kitty Magee Arena.  

Friday's meet is OU's last road meet before its home opener on Friday, Jan. 27 against N.C. State.  The Sooner gymnasts will share the floor with the OU wrestling team for OU's fifth annual "Beauty and the Beast" competition beginning at 7 p.m. at the Lloyd Noble Center.
