  Oklahoma Team Notes

• Oklahoma extended its series record with Iowa State to 69-5-2, including a 36-3-1 mark in Norman, after defeating
the Cyclones, 26-6. When the Sooners are ranked, OU is 45-2-1 against ISU and 22-1-1 at Owen Field.

• Head coach Bob Stoops remains a perfect 7-0 against ISU and is 138-33 in his 13th season. He improves to
91-21 vs. the Big 12 including a 77-3 home mark. The Sooners have outscored the Cyclones 161-12 in four
home games under Stoops.

• OU had 509 yards of total offense, marking the eighth time this season Oklahoma has had over 500 yards in
a game. The Sooners 253 rushing yards against the Cyclones topped their previous season high of 247 against
Kansas and is their best rushing performance since last year when they rushed for 325 against ISU.

• For the fourth time this season, OU held its opponent without a score in the second half. OU held Iowa State
to six points which was the lowest the Sooners have held a Big 12 opponent to since last year when OU
defeated ISU 52-0 in Norman.

• The Sooner defense forced four turnovers (three fumble recoveries, one interception) on Saturday, marking
the fourth time this season it has had at least four (season-high fi ve against Texas). OU has forced at least one
turnover in 149 of Stoops' 171 games and has at least on interception in 110 of the last 150.

• Neither Oklahoma or its opponent scored in the third quarter, marking the fi rst time all year OU and its opponent
have endured a scoreless quarter.

  Oklahoma Individual Notes

Frank Alexander
• Senior DE Frank Alexander has had at least one tackle for loss in nine of the 11 games this season. He has
14.5 in the previous seven games.

Blake Bell
• Freshman QB Blake Bell's nine rushing touchdowns ties him with Jamelle Holieway (1985) for the second
most rushing touchdowns by a freshman QB and trails only Charles Thompson (10 in 1987). Bell has scored in
four straight games.

Trey Franks
• Sophomore WR Trey Franks had two runs of 40-plus yards against the Cyclones. Frank led OU in rushing
yards against the Cyclones. His two rushes for 88 yards was also a career best.

• Franks had a career-long 45 yard rush in the fourth quarter and a 43-yard run in the second quarter. He
became the 13th wide receiver to have a rush of 40-plus yards. He is the only OU wide receiver to have two
40-plus yard runs in their career (TE Keith Jackson also had two career rushes of 40 or more yards). The last
time an OU receiver rushed for 40-plus yards was Juaquin Iglesias (41 yards) in 2007. The last run of 43 or
more yards came in 2005 when Travis Wilson rushed for 56 yards against UCLA.

Ben Habern
• Junior OL Ben Habern recorded his fi rst start since being injured against Missouri on Sept. 24. Habern now
stands at 28 career starts.

Michael Hunnicutt
• Michael Hunnicutt's four fi eld goals against the Cyclones moved him into sole possession of first on the freshman
field goal record with 19, passing Trey Dicarlo who had 16 in 2002.

• For the 10th time in school history an OU kicker had four field goals in a game. Hunnicutt becomes the first
kicker in school history to post four field goals in two separate games, with the other being against Kansas (4-
4). No Sooner kicker has ever had five field goals in a game.

Kameel Jackson
• Freshman WR Kameel Jackson recorded two catches for 36 yards, a career best. He also had a career-long
24 yard reception in the fourth quarter.

Landry Jones
• Junior QB Landry Jones made his 35th career start at quarterback for the Sooners. Jones moved into sole
possession of second place all-time among quarterbacks, trailing only Cale Gundy (1990-93) with 37. Additionally,
the start marked his 32nd consecutive start.
Travis Lewis
• Senior LB Travis Lewis recorded his ninth interception of his career, which he returned 22 yards in the second quarter. Lewis now has 173 return yards on nine interceptions, the second most in OU history, and trails Derrick Straight's (2000-03) 397 return yards on 14 interceptions.

• Lewis finished the day with two tackles, tying him with Rocky Calmus as the all-time leading tackler in the Stoops' era with 431. He stands tied with Calmus for fourth all-time in OU history and in the Big 12.

Kenny Stills
• Sophomore WR Kenny Stills ended the day with five receptions for 70 yards. He surpassed 1,500 career receiving yards, becoming the 17th Sooner to accomplish the feat. He is 15th on the career reception yards list with 1,541 yards on 113 catches.

Brandon Williams
• Freshman RB Brandon Williams finished the day with a career-best 80 yards and tied his career long run of 17. His previous best of 58 yards came against Ball State.

  By the Numbers

1 - Iowa State's missed extra point marked the first by an opponent this season.

4 - Michael Hunnicutt's four field goal performance is his second of the season. He is the only kicker in school history to post two games with four field goals.

12 - Junior DT Jamarkus McFarland wore the No. 12 jersey in honor of Austin Box.

17 - Kenny Stills becomes the 17th Sooner to surpass 1,500 receiving yards in a career.

42 - Wind gusts of 32-42 mph ripped through Norman on Saturday. The last time gusts reached that high at Owen Field was on Sept. 26, 1964, when OU dropped a 40-14 contest to Southern California (30-42 mph).

80 - Freshman RB Brandon Williams had a career-best 80 yards on 11 carries.

253 - OU recorded its best rushing output of the season with 253 yards. The most since facing ISU in 2010 (325).

84,326 - Today's attendance, marking the 79th straight sellout (all under Stoops).

  Iowa State Team Notes

• The ISU defense has forced nine turnovers in its last two games, after averaging 1.7 takeaways in its first nine games.
• The Cyclones have intercepted six passes in the last two games, after having five total in the first nine games.
• The ISU offense matched a season high with four turnovers (four vs. UNI).
• ISU has dropped seven consecutive games in Norman since a 33-31 win in 1990.

Albert Gary
• Touchdown catch in the first quarter is his second career touchdown.
Jake Knott
• Second interception of the season, sixth of his career.
• Sixth game with double-digit tackles this season (11), 14th time of his career.
Aaron Horne
• 44-yard kickoff return is a career long.
Jake McDonough
• First career forced fumble.
Ter'Ran Benton
• First fumble recovery of the season, fourth of his career.
• Third interception of the season, third of his career.
• Season-high 10 tackles; all 10 were solo.
Kurt Hammerschmidt
• Career-high 30 receiving yards.
• Longest catch by an ISU tight end this season.
A.J. Klein
• Fourth game this season with 10+ tackles (12 today), 11th time of his career.
Jeff Woody
• 60 rushing yards today on a career-high 13 carries.
• Has rushed for 212 yards in his last four games; had 254 yards in his first 18 career games.
Jeremy Reeves
• Second interception of the season, fourth of his career.
