  Oklahoma Team Notes

• After a first-half that OU led 27-17, the Sooners held Kansas scoreless in the second half and limited the Jayhawks to -24 rushing yards on 13 attempts and 30 passing yards on 14 attempts. The Jayhawks managed just one first down in the second half.

• Oklahoma has not lost to Kansas in its last seven meeting with the Jayhawks. OU improved its series record to 69-27-6.

• Oklahoma was 7-for-7 on red zone scoring opportunities, improving its season total to 31 of 34 (91 percent).

  Individual Notes

Frank Alexander
• Alexander added one sack to his total for 18.5 in his career to move to No. 10 all-time at Oklahoma.

Ryan Broyles
• Broyles set two records in one reception with his 57-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. On that play, he broke both the NCAA career receptions record (317) and Big 12 career receiving touchdowns record (43). Broyles' night ended with 326 career receptions and 43 touchdowns. Purdue's Taylor Stubblefield held the previous NCAA record with 316 career receptions. Oklahoma's State RaShaun Woods was the previous Big 12 career receiving touchdowns with 42.

• Broyles broke his own OU single-game record for receiving yards with 217 on 13 receptions. Previously, his best was a 208-yard game versus Colorado in 2010.

• Broyles recorded his 12th career game with 10 or more receptions and his 22nd of 100 or more receiving yards. Broyles has total 100 or more receiving yards 18 times in his last 23 outings.

• Broyles' 33-yard punt return in the first quarter was a season long.

Roy Finch
• Finch recorded his first touchdown of the season (last since Baylor, 2010). Finch rushed six times for 58 yards (9.7 average) before leaving with an injury. He had just 35 yards entering Saturday's game.

Michael Hunnicutt
• Had a career-high four field goals matching an OU single-game record for the eighth time.

• With 17 points (four field goals, five extra points), Hunnicutt matched the school record for kick scoring (Jimmy Stevens, vs. Oklahoma State, 2010; Trey DiCarlo, vs. Texas, 2003).

Landry Jones
• Jones recorded his OU-leading 18th career game with 300 or more passing yards and his 12th with 350 or more passing yards.

• The games was Jones' fourth straight with three or more touchdown passes.

Corey Nelson
• Nelson's two sacks was a career high. He entered the game having just a 1/2 sack in his previous 19 career games.

Kenny Stills
• Stills has recorded a touchdown in every game he has played this season (Florida State, Ball State, Texas, Missouri).

Dominique Whaley
• The walk-on had career highs with 30 rushes and 165 rushing yards.

  By the Numbers

12 - Sophomore DB Aaron Colvin wore jersey No. 12 in honor of Austin Box, who passed away in the offseason. A different defensive player wears the No. 12 jersey each game. Colvin matched a career best with eight tackles.

42,580 - Saturday's attendance at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, Kan.

3 - Receiving records broken by OU senior Ryan Broyles. Broyles broke his own school record for single-game receiving yards (217), the Big 12 record for career touchdown receptions (44) and the NCAA record for career receptions (326).
