NORMAN, Okla. - Sooner fans, for the sixth straight year, the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department is letting you choose the official game day gear. Cast your vote now for the design of the 2014 There’s Only One Oklahoma fan t-shirt and hat!

From now until Friday, Feb. 28, vote for one of three designs produced by VF and Top of the World for the official There’s Only One Oklahoma fan t-shirt and hat. Both items will be released in stores in advance of the Big Boomer BBQ and OU Spring Football Game scheduled for Saturday, April 13.

Last year’s competition featured the slimmest margin of victory in the contest’s history despite nearly 10,000 votes being cast. So be sure to pick your favorite design and have your family and friends do the same.

Licensing revenue returned to the OU Athletics Department from sales of the official There’s Only One Oklahoma apparel will benefit the Sooner Jr. program, OU Athletics’ youth outreach initiative that encourages fitness fun, academics, nutrition and sportsmanship.

Notes on Design

· Designs were tailored from fan feedback.

· Design 1: With a little Sooner Magic, OU took down Alabama in the 2014 Sugar Bowl and made BCS history. This design—featuring the Fiesta, Orange, Rose and Sugar Bowl hardware—pays tribute to the only team in college football to win all four BCS games.

· Design 2: Before any football student-athlete plays his first down in the Crimson and Cream, he walks down this tunnel and back in time. He sees OU’s long and impressive history as the winningest college football program in the modern era, with 154 All-Americans, 44 conference titles and seven national champions. And then he steps onto Owen Field: the home that Bennie built, Bud dominated, Barry reigned and Bob rules. As touted in the 2013 football intro video, this is where champions are bred, with the records to back.

· Design 3: No other university in the state has won a football national championship, much less seven. Norman, home of the Sooners, is where we stake that claim.

Each fan can vote once per device (computer, tablet, smartphone), so choose carefully! The winner will be announced the week of the Spring Game.
