Oklahoma Head Coach Sherri Coale
On the game:
“I just think it was really good for us to see the ball go in the basket a little bit. We have struggled with that. We have really not had a game all year where we have shot it across the board really well the way we did tonight.”

On their defensive performance tonight:
“I thought we played hard and I thought we helped each other and we knew that Tech needed to get to the paint to score bunches of points so we protected that well with our help side. Our post guys were really active helping on penetration and that made a big difference too.”

On if tonight’s performance created momentum going forward:
“We did a lot of things well. I think chief among them not throwing the ball all across the gym. Ball security. It’s huge. I don’t know that we’re going to get many nights where we make 15 threes. I don’t know that that’s going to happen very often but being able to knock down open ones that’s something you have got to do. Even in some tough wins over a last couple of weeks we have not done that. We had open threes and not had the ability to knock them down so doing that, not just one player doing that, but I think we had five or six guys who hit threes tonight and that gives us a lot of juice going forward.”

On overcoming their poor shooting start:
“We scored 36 in the first half and didn’t score until the five minute mark, I think. I think what you saw there was just a reflection of kids understanding what position we’re in. It’s tough. Coming off of a bad loss in Fort Worth and just trying to grind our way out I knew that if we just hit a couple we could get going and forget how much was riding on tonight’s game.”

Oklahoma Senior Guard Aaryn Ellenberg
On her final game in the Lloyd Noble Center:
“It was great. It was awesome to go out on a win, obviously. Just taking it all in and enjoying the win in my last game here. It’s been a long ride but at the same time its great to get going to something else.”

On the fan appreciation:
“It’s always great to feel like you’ve done something better by just being here.”

On her career:
“Just fun. College is fun, but when you get to be apart of a team like this and a program like this, it just makes the experience so much better.”

Oklahoma Senior Center Nicole Griffin
On how she would describe this night:
“It was how I wanted to go out. We hit a lot of 3s and we just really had fun together. That’s what it’s really all about, just having fun, and I think that’s what we did.”

On the fan appreciation:
“The fans mean everything. Even when we don’t have games on TV we still have fans that come out to our games and I think that means a lot.”
