AUSTIN, Texas -- Oklahoma's Aaryn Ellenberg had a career-high 37 points but the Sooners blew a 12-point halftime lead and lost to Texas 79-74 in overtime Wednesday.
It was the Sooners' second straight overtime loss after falling to Iowa State 82-75 in Norman on Sunday.
Ellenberg had 22 points in the first period and Morgan Hook drilled a halfcourt buzzer-beater to make it seem as though everything was going OU's way at intermission.
OU led 38-26 at halftime. Texas pulled within one four times but couldn’t crack the Sooners’ lead until GiGi Mazionyte nailed a 3 from the left wing with 31.7 seconds to play to tie the game 68-68.
The Sooners turned the ball over 16 times in the second half.
