Barry Switzer Center
Named in honor of legendary coach Barry Switzer, the complex houses the locker room, support areas, strength and training areas, coaches offices and the Legends Lobby.

Oklahoma Football History & Tradition
Located at the south end of Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, the Switzer Center houses football meeting rooms and coaches' offices, the football locker room, equipment room, Red Room, the Siegfried Strength and Conditioning Complex, the Freede Sports Medicine Center and the Touchdown Club Legends Lobby.
Outside the building is the Anderson All-American Plaza that serves the university as an outdoor site for special events. The plaza's feature attraction is a large wall honoring every OU All-American to wear the crimson and cream. The name of every letterwinner from each OU sport is also displayed.
The Touchdown Club Legends Lobby honors the people and events that shaped the Oklahoma football program. This three-story facility highlights the stories of some of the greatest teams ever to play the game and the seemingly endless list of coaches and players who brought glory to the university and the state.
The Barry Switzer Center was dedicated on April 24, 1999. The center was named after OU's all-time winningest head football coach, who led his Sooner teams to three national championships, 12 Big Eight Conference championships and eight bowl wins in 13 appearances.
Switzer led the Sooners on a 28-game win streak from 1973 (his first season as head coach) to 1975. When the Sooners won the national championship in 1975, it marked the first time in history a team had won back-to-back titles more than once.
After coming to Oklahoma from Arkansas in 1966, Switzer was named offensive coordinator and convinced Chuck Fairbanks, then OU head coach, to switch to the wishbone offense. After Fairbanks left the Sooners for the New England Patriots, Switzer was named head coach in 1973 and would head the OU football program for 16 years.
