Attendance for the Oklahoma City Regional Semifinals was 10,343.

The Sooners will meet Purdue in the Oklahoma City Regional Final Tuesday at 8 p.m. Central.  OU is appearing in just its second NCAA regional final, having made its only other appearance in 2002.

Oklahoma has held at least a 21-point lead in each of its three NCAA Championship games.

Oklahoma improved to 20-11 all-time in the NCAA Championship.  In the NCAA Championships 28th year, only 22 teams have reached 20 wins.  OU also improved to 2-5 in the regional semifinal and 2-0 all-time versus Pittsburgh.

OU also improved to 11-4 versus ranked opponents; 15-3 all-time in Oklahoma City; and 2-0 all-time in the Ford Center.

The Sooners recorded their 112th win over the past four years, making them the winningest team over a four-year span in Big 12 history.

Whitney Hand
Whitney Hand’s 17 first-half points were a career best for a half.  Her seven rebounds in the first half were also a career best for a half and matched her career high for a single game.

Hand’s 22 points were a career high, surpassing the 20 points she scored against Tennessee in Oklahoma’s other game at the Ford Center this year.

Hand’s eight rebounds set a new single-game personal best.

Danielle Robinson
Danielle Robinson took two charges tonight.  The sophomore has taken 26 charges in 35 games.

Robinson’s first assist of the night, to Whitney Hand’s first 3-pointer, was her 200th of the season.  Already OU’s sophomore single-season assist record holder, Robinson is just the third Sooner to reach 200 assists in a single season.  Stacey Dales (248 in 2001) and Sharee Mitchum (242 in 1994) are the others.

Ashley Paris
Ashley Paris recorded her 28th career double-double and her 17th of the season

Courtney Paris
Courtney Paris has blocked at least one shot in 47 consecutive games.  Paris took sole possession of third on the NCAA’s career block list, passing Duke’s Alison Bales (434).

Tonight, Courtney Paris became the first college basketball player in history to record 2,500 points and 2,000 rebounds in a career.  She was four rebounds shy on the mark entering the night.  Only four men and one woman had ever reached 2,000 points and 2,000 rebounds. It was her 19th NCAA record.

Courtney Paris passed Kendra Wecker (1,913) for most field goal attempts by a Big 12 player.  It was Paris’ 55th Big 12 Conference record.  Paris was five attempts shy of the mark entering the night.
