Head Coach Lon Kruger
Opening comment:
“It was a wild, wild finish for sure. There were different stretches during the ball game I thought we had a little bit of the upper hand on getting to loose balls. A key stretch there in the second half, especially, I thought Seton Hall did a terrific job of working harder than we did and getting to loose balls. Then of course down the stretch we are just very fortunate to get a couple of bounces. It wouldn’t happen very often if you replayed it several times, but I’m happy for the guys. They kept their heads up. They kept working. They kept battling. They made something good happen there late and finished it off. Good win for sure, and it’s always good to win and learn as much as we’re going to be able to learn from this ball game.”

On creating turnovers at the end of the game:
“At that point it’s kind of risk everything to get a steal. We couldn’t let much clock go. We just got a couple of deflections there and got a good bounce or two. Nothing that you’d like to do as a steady diet for finishing a ball game, but it’s a crazy game, and sometimes it works out like that.”

On potentially facing No. 1 Michigan State on Saturday:
“It’s always good to play against a high level of competition. Certainly, Michigan State is one of the best teams, ranked No. 1 in the country, deservedly. Always a physical ball club. Always executes things very well. Tom’s (Izzo) clubs always play great. We’ve got a really young team, and it’d be great experience, and yet they’re going to go out there expecting to make good things happen. Again, if it’s not Michigan State, we’ve got a lot of respect for Virginia Tech, too. Either way, we are going to play a big, physical ball club tomorrow night, and our guys know that that’s an area in which we have to work to play better against that type of competition.”

Sophomore Guard Isaiah Cousins
On playing close to home:
“It just felt good being back home. Friends and family were here, so I just had to be on top of my game. I did shoot the ball well, and I just played hard. That’s what I do -- play hard.
"

Senior Forward Cameron Clark
On the end of the game:
“Coach said ‘Get up and deny the passes.’ We did a good job of getting the steal. He said to just keep on doing it. We were fortunate to get two steals, and we got to score, so it was all good.”
