NORMAN, Okla. -- OU's Lon Kruger made history this past season, becoming the first Division I head men's basketball coach to take five different programs to the NCAA Tournament. The Sooners finished 20-12 last year and tied for fourth place in the Big 12.
Oklahoma's 2013 NCAA Tournament appearance was its first in four years. Will the Sooners make it back-to-back appearances in 2014? Kruger lost his top three scorers from last season, including second-round NBA Draft pick Romero Osby, but returns several key veterans and welcomes seven newcomers on scholarship.
Our Jessica Coody recently sat down with Kruger to discuss what's taking place with the program this summer and to provide a glimpse of what's in store for the upcoming season.
Kruger also touches on OU's August trip to France and Belgium in which the Sooners are scheduled to play five games against pro competition.
