NORMAN, Okla. – The 2013 regular season enters its final stages as Oklahoma visits Texas Tech for a 6:00 pm contest on Wednesday evening.

1. About the Sooners
Oklahoma won back-to-back matches at home last week to improve to 20-7 overall and 8-5 in the Big 12. Senior middle blocker Sallie McLaurin leads the way for OU with 3.69 kills per set and a league-best .440 hitting percentage. Sophomore outside hitter Kierra Holst ranks second in both categories at 3.00 and .226. On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore libero Taylor Migliazzo averages a team-high 3.90 digs per set.

2. Last Time They Met
The Sooners opened Big 12 play with a 3-1 win over the Red Raiders at home on September 25. Despite trailing late in both, Oklahoma took the first two sets; 25-21 and 25-22. Texas Tech won the third, 25-23, but OU responded in the third, 25-19. Jenna Allen led all players with 21 kills in the loss for TTU. McLaurin powered the Sooners to victory with 14 kills and five blocks.

3. All-Time vs. Texas Tech
Despite winning each of the last 16 meetings, the Sooners still trail the all-time series against the Red Raiders, 34-29. On the road, Oklahoma is 9-14 against Texas Tech. Under Santiago Restrepo, the Sooners own a 17-2 record with the two losses coming in 2004 and 2005.

4. 20-Spot in the Win Column
Oklahoma picked up its 20th win of the season, a 3-0 victory over Baylor, on November 16 to mark the 17th 20-win season in the program’s 40-year history and sixth under Restrepo. The Sooners have won 20 or more in a season in each of the last four seasons and six of the last eight. The program record for wins was set in 1979 when OU won 50 matches in a 74-match schedule under Miles Pabst. Since Restrepo took over in 2004, the Sooners’ record is 28 in 2006.

5. OU in the Classroom
On Tuesday, four Sooners were honored with Academic All-Big 12 honors. The OU senior trio of Mindy Gowen, Sallie McLaurin and Eden Williams all earned First Team honors for the third straight season with a grade-point average of 3.20 or better. Junior Kaitlyn Drawe gained selection to the Second Team with a GPA between 3.00 and 3.19.

6. Player of the Week
McLaurin earned her league-leading fifth Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week award on November 18. She is one of just two players to garner five such awards in a single season in Big 12 history. For her career, McLaurin ranks fourth all-time with 11 weekly awards. She hit .475 and averaged 3.50 kills per set in a 2-0 week.

7. Serving Up Aces
Oklahoma tied a program record for service aces in a match during the 25-point rally scoring era with 11 against Baylor on November 16. The record was previously set against Nicholls State on August 29, 2009. Holst, Migliazzo and Rodriguez all recorded three in the 3-0 victory.
