2. Last Time They Met...
Oklahoma went on the road and Swept West Virginia on November 3, 2012. McLaurin led a Sooner squad that hit .417 with 14 kills and a .636 attack rate, while Tara Dunn added 10 kills and a .350 hitting percentage. Doyle picked up 38 assists, while Dunn and Mindy Gowen each had 11 digs. The Mountaineers were led by three players with eight kills, including Arielle Allen with a .583 attack rate.

3. A New Rival
The Sooners have won all three match-ups against the Mountaineers. Oklahoma swept the season series in 2012 and won at Northwestern in 1999, 309, in the first meeting between the two programs.

4. Home Court Advantage
Despite an early season loss to Miami, Oklahoma is 6-1 in home matches this season and improved to 82-36 (.695) at McCasland Field House under Restrepo. The Sooners are averaging 734 in attendance at home dates, topped with 868 in the home opener against Arkansas on September 3. Since the Oklahoma volleyball program took its first serve in 1974, the Sooners have tallied a 294-192 (.605) record on their home court.

5. Moving Towards No. 8
In Oklahoma’s sweep over Baylor on October 19, McLaurin moved into the top 10 in kills all-time at Oklahoma. In that match she passed Maraget Page (1983-86) and Trenell Carter (1984-87), who had 1,170 and 1,171, respectively. McLaurin’s 1,205 currently ranks her ninth. She trails Kerri Mulry (1985-88) by 38 for eighth.

6. 50/50
Sophomore setter Julia Doyle set a program record for assists in a four-set match during the 25-point rally-scoring era with 53 against Kansas State on October 12. She surpassed Brianne Barker, who dished out 50 three times, last against Iowa State in 2010. Doyle’s previous career-high was 50 in a five-set win over Arizona State in the 2012 NCAA First Round in Provo, Utah. She reached the 50-assist mark for the second time this season with 50 in a 3-2 win at TCU on October 23.

7. Hitter’s High
Through 21 matches, McLaurin is hitting a career-best .457, besting her .357 attack rate from a year ago. She ranks first in the Big 12 and is five points ahead of Texas freshman Chiaka Ogbogu, who has only played 35 sets compared to McLaurin’s 78. The next closest player in the league with at least 50 sets played is Iowa State’ s Tenisha Matlock at .359; 98 points back of McLaurin. She also ranks ninth nationally, trailing Florida’s Chloe Mann for first at an impressive .511.
