NORMAN, Okla. - Oklahoma volleyball carries a 4-0 record into Portland, Ore. for the PSU Tournament where it will open against Pacific Friday night at 6:00 pm CT. The tournament continues into Saturday when the Sooners take on the host Portland State, followed up by a NCAA Second Round re-match against BYU.

7 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT OU VOLLEYBALL:

1. Starting Undefeated
Oklahoma is 4-0 to start the season for the third straight year and fifth in 10 seasons under Santiago Restrepo. Last weekend, the Sooners went undefeated in tournament play outside of Norman for the first time since 2010 at Missouri State.

2. Offensive Player of the Week
Senior middle blocker Sallie McLaurin (Midwest City, Okla.) was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 1. She averaged 4.10 kills and 1.10 blocks per set, while hitting .456. The award is her seventh career weekly award from the Big 12 and second Offensive Player of the Week distinction.

3. Chase for 1,000
McLaurin has totaled 54 kills through four matches and is just 33 away from reaching the 1,000-kill mark for her career. At her current rate of 4.15 kills per set, she would reach the mark in the eighth set of the weekend.

4. One Win From 700
The Oklahoma volleyball program, now in its 40th season, is only one win away from 700 since the team's inception in 1974. The Sooners are 669-668-7 all-time.

5. Opening at Home
Following the Sooners 3-0 sweep of Arkansas in front of 817 at McCasland Field House on Tuesday, Oklahoma now holds a 26-14 record all-time in home openers and are 8-2 under Restrepo.

6. NCAA Rematch
This weekend’s finale at the PSU Tournament will be a NCAA Second Round rematch between Oklahoma and BYU. The Sooners 2012 season ended in Provo, Utah with a 3-0 loss to the No. 12 Cougars. Tara Dunn (Poth, Texas) paced the offense with 10 kills. BYU was later eliminated in the Sweet 16 by National Runner-Up Oregon, 3-1.

7. Williams Adapting to New Role
In just her fourth match at libero, senior Eden Williams (Amarillo, Texas) set a new career-high for digs with 18 against Arkansas. Her previous high was 17 against Kansas State as a freshman on November 20, 2010. Williams enters the weekend fourth in the Big 12 with 4.77 digs per set.
