1. About the Sooners
Oklahoma is 18-4 and 6-2 in the Big 12, riding a four-match win streak. Senior middle blocker Sallie McLaurin leads the way for the Sooner attack with 3.78 kills per set and a league-leading .452 hitting percentage. Sophomore outside hitter Kierra Holst is second on the team in both categories at 3.01 and .239. Sophomore libero Taylor Migliazzo leads the team with 3.95 digs per set, while senior outside hitter Keila Rodriguez has contributed on both sides of the ball with 3.26 digs and 2.28 kills per set.

2. Pledge for a Cure
The Sooners are hosting their fifth Pledge for a Cure Match tonight to raise money for the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at the Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center. Oklahoma plays to honor the memory of Santiago Restrepo’s late son Javi, whose life was taken by Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at age four in 2009. Jersey signed by OU head coaches Bob Stoops (FB), Lon Kruger (MBB), Sherri Coale (WBB), Pete Hughes (BASE), Patti Gasso (SB) and Restrepo will be raffled off to raise money for the JEC Foundation.

3. Player of the Week
Sallie McLaurin earned her league-leading fourth Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week award on October 28. She is one of just three players to garner four or more such awards in a single season in Big 12 history. For her career, McLaurin ranks fifth all-time with 10 weekly awards. She hit .457 and averaged 4.62 kills per set in a 2-0 week.

4. Inside the Poll
Following a 2-0 week, Oklahoma is ranked No. 25 in this week’s American Volleyball Coaches’ Association poll. The Sooners were last ranked on November 7, 2011 at No. 25. Previously, Oklahoma sat one spot away from the Top-25 on September 2 and October 7.

5. Top-25 Match-Up
Oklahoma last played the No. 1 team in the country when it was swept at Nebraska in 2012. The Cornhuskers were also the last No. 1 team to visit Norman when the Sooners were swept, 3-0, in 2007.

6. Rodriguez Does it All
An outside hitter by trade, Rodriguez is averaging 2.28 kills per set, good enough for third on the team. She has played in every set this season and has contributed 38 blocks, 22 assists and 17 service ace. Defensively, Rodriguez is second on the team with 3.26 digs per set. She ranks 10th in the Big 12, making her the highest ranked player in the league that it not a libero.

7. Last Time They Met
An un-ranked Oklahoma fell to then-No. 5 Texas on the road, 3-0, on September 28. The Longhorns’ straight-sets victory came 25-17, 25-21 and 25-19. Webster led all players with 15 kills and hit .444 for the match. Holst tallied a team-high nine kills for the Sooners, while Migliazzo picked up 13 digs. Despite hitting .400, McLaurin was held to single-digit kills for just the third time all season at eight.
