NORMAN, Okla. –  The Sooners host Kansas State at McCasland Field House for a Saturday night Big 12 match-up at 7:00 pm.

1. About the Sooners
Coming off a three-set loss at Kansas, Oklahoma is 14-4 on the year and an even 2-2 in the Big 12. Senior middle blocker Sallie McLaurin leads the way for the Sooner attack with 3.65 kills per set and a league-leading .447 hitting percentage. Sophomore outside hitter Kierra Holst is second on the team in both categories at 3.08 and .246. Sophomore libero Taylor Migliazzo leads the team with 3.78 digs per set, while senior outside hitter Keila Rodriguez has contributed on both sides of the ball with 3.32 digs and 2.23 kills per set.

2. Bouncing Back
In 2012, the Sooners were 8-2 when returning to the court after a loss, bouncing back in good form, all but twice. This season, Oklahoma has bounced back from its first three losses with 3-1 wins over Portland State and LIU Brooklyn and a 3-2 win over No. 25 Iowa State. The Sooners last lost back-to-back games on November 10 and 14, 2012 with 3-0 defeats to No. 20 Iowa State and No. 22 Kansas.

3. Home Court Advantage
Despite an early season loss to Miami, Oklahoma is 5-1 in home matches this season and improved to 81-36 (.692) at McCasland Field House under Restrepo. The Sooners are averaging 743 in attendance at home dates, topped with 868 in the home opener against Arkansas on September 3. Since the Oklahoma volleyball program took its first serve in 1974, the Sooners have tallied a 293-192 (.604) record on their home court.

4. Last Time They Met
Oklahoma defeated No. 25 Kansas State, 3-1, on the road on the last day of the regular season on November 24, 2012. The win marked the third of the season for the Sooners over a ranked opponent. McLaurin tallied 14 kills and hit an impressive .481. Maria Fernanda totaled 25 digs and Julia Doyle dished out 29 assists. The Wildcats did hold the edge in blocks, registering 17 to the Sooners’ 12.

5. All-Time vs. K-State
The Sooners hold a significant advantage over the Wildcats in the all-time series, 51-25-1. OU twice defeated a ranked K-State squad a year ago, picking up a home win over No. 11 Kansas State, 3-0, on September 19. Since 2006, Oklahoma has won 11 of 14 match-ups. The first contest between the two programs was a 1-1 tie in Lawrence, Kan. in 1975.

6. 1,000 and Counting
McLaurin notched the 1,000th kill of her career with her third of the night in a 3-2 win over No. 25 BYU on September 7. In that match, she registered a then season-high 21 kills, to go with a .677 hitting percentage and eight blocks. McLaurin enters the match with 1,154. She is chasing Margaret Page (1983-87) for 10th all-time at 1,170.

7. RPI Released
At the onset of week seven of the season, the NCAA released its first RPI rankings. Oklahoma comes in at No. 19 as it seeks its fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Sooners have the third highest RPI among Big 12 schools, behind Texas (1) and Kansas (14). Oklahoma is 2-2 against the RPI Top-25, with wins over Arkansas (16) and BYU (17), and 3-3 against the Top-50, including a win over Tulsa (34).
