NORMAN, Okla.—Senior Guillermo Alcorta’s comeback win secured No. 3 Oklahoma’s first 2014 conference win over No. 55 Texas Christian Sunday afternoon in Ft. Worth, Texas.

After losing his first set 5-7, Alcorta fought back to win his next two sets 6-2, 6-4, beating Amau Dachs and clinching the Sooner victory.

Playing in the No. 4 spot, Dane Webb earned his 15th win, ousting Rodolfo Bustamante in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.

Axel Alvarez battled Nick Chappell in the No. 1 spot.  The sophomore won the first set 6-4 and fought through a lengthy second set tiebreaker to beat Chappell 6-4, 7-6 (10-8).

Oklahoma won the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

“TCU played a great match today,” head coach John Roddick said. “Our guys fought hard to get the win, but hopefully we realize that we have to work harder to improve.”

Up next, Roddick’s squad heads to Tulsa, Okla. to face the University of Tulsa April 6.
