LUBBOCK, Texas -- One day after throwing a no-hitter, senior Keilani Ricketts showed her dual-threat talents by hitting a pair of home runs in No. 1 Oklahoma's 6-0 win at Texas Tech on Saturday.

Sophomore Lauren Chamberlain also homered for the second time in the series and senior Michelle Gascoigne threw a four-hit shutout as the Sooners pushed their winning streak to nine games and their shutout streak to three games.

After three scoreless innings, Ricketts put the first run on the board with a solo home run to left center. It was her ninth of the season and 44th of her career, tying her with Heather Scaglione (2002-05) for sixth most in OU history.

Given the lead, Gascoigne threw seventh shutout of the season and lowered her nation's-best earned run average to 0.79.

The long-ball trend continued for the Sooners in the fifth as they hit a pair of two-run home runs to take a 5-0 lead.

Senior Brianna Turang led off with a walk before Chamberlain launched a two-run home run to right center. It was Chamberlain's 20th home run of the season, tying her for second most in a single season at OU, and the 50th of her career.

Sophomore Shelby Pendley followed Chamberlain with another walk, and she came around to score as Ricketts delivered her second home run of the game. A two-run homer to right field, it gave Ricketts her fourth career multi-home run game.

Texas Tech threatened to get back into the game in the bottom of the fifth, putting runners on the corners with no one out, but Oklahoma was able to escape the jam.

Katibeth King hit a deep fly to left field but Katelyn Williams was caught between third and home and was unable to tag up for a potential sac fly. Taylor Powell entered as a pinch hitter but struck out swinging before Mikey Kenney grounded out to Pendley at third.

The Sooners added an insurance run in the top of the seventh.

Ricketts led off with a single to right field to match her career high with three hits. Sophomore Callie Parsons came on to run for Ricketts and advanced to third when senior Jessica Shults reached on an error. Two batters later, junior Destinee Martinez put down a squeeze bunt that allowed Parsons to score.

The Red Raiders once again got runners on the corners with no outs recorded in the seventh, but Gascoigne was able to keep them off the board. Samantha Camello fouled out to Chamberlain at first base and Gascoigne struck out King and pinch hitter Gretchen Aucoin to end the game.

Oklahoma goes for the three-game sweep on Sunday. First pitch is set for noon, and the game can be seen online at TexasTech.TV.
