On the bye week:
“The bye week went well. I feel like we were very productive out there on the field getting ready for Notre Dame. We just talked about getting better overall as a team and as a unit.”

On what stood out from last year’s game against Notre Dame:
“How well their defense played. Their defense kind of dominated our offense. I also remember how well their offense was on point.”

On if there is a different level of excitement playing in such a venue:
“I feel like it is. When you go to historic places like Notre Dame, Florida State and Alabama it creates a different type of atmosphere. There’s a different type of feeling inside of the players and I’m sure the fans as well. You always want to keep your composure. I’ve been here for almost four years now and you want to keep your composure when you go to big places like that and try to remain as calm as possible so you can remain focused.”

On if this year’s team is more equipped to play Notre Dame than last year’s:
“Yes sir, I do. It all depends on just how we execute both offensively and defensively. I feel like we’re prepared, though.”

On if they matched Notre Dame’s physicality last year:
“We matched their physicality just fine. They just executed better. They outplayed us when they needed to in crucial downs.”

On Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees:
“This quarterback will be the smartest quarterback that we have faced so far. He’s a smart guy, great thrower.”

On the revenge factor:
“I don’t really want to say it’s a revenge factor. It’s kind of just more of showing them that we can play just as well as them.”

On if there is anything he looks forward to seeing in South Bend:
“I look forward to see how they do things traditionally. I look forward to seeing how their fans are and the atmosphere. This will be the first time I’ve ever been to Indiana, let alone South Bend. It will be exciting to see what they have in store.”
