NORMAN, Okla – The Big 12 Conference announced Monday that two dates have changed for Oklahoma Football road games in 2014. The Sooners will now visit Tulsa on Sept. 6 and will travel to West Virginia on Sept. 20. The Tulsa game was previously scheduled for Sept. 20, while the West Virginia game moves up one week after originally being slated for Sept. 27.
Oklahoma opens its 2014 schedule at home vs. Louisiana Tech on Aug. 30 before an in-state trip to Tulsa on Sept. 6. The Tulsa contest will be broadcast by ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The Sooners face Southeastern Conference opponent Tennessee at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Sept. 13.
For a third consecutive year, each Big 12 team will face a nine-game, round-robin conference schedule. The Sooners begin their conference slate at West Virginia on Sept. 20. Oklahoma will now enjoy an open date on Sept. 27 before traveling to face TCU on Oct. 4.
The 109th edition of the AT&T Red River Rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas will be held in Dallas on Oct. 11. The Sooners have won three of their last four meetings against the Longhorns and are 9-6 overall against Texas under Stoops. Oklahoma returns home to face Kansas State on Oct. 18.
The date for Oklahoma’s road contest at Iowa State is still pending. The Sooners will play in Ames, Iowa, on either Thursday, Oct. 30 or on Saturday, Nov. 1. Oklahoma resumes its home schedule on Nov. 8 vs. Baylor before traveling to Texas Tech on Nov. 15.
The Sooners finish their regular season schedule with back-to-back conference home contests for the first time since 1990. Oklahoma hosts Kansas on Nov. 22. The home date for Oklahoma’s Bedlam Series contest vs. Oklahoma State is still to be determined. Oklahoma will host the Cowboys on either Saturday, Nov. 29 or Saturday, Dec. 6.Dates are subject to change as adjustments are possible to accommodate television partners' requests.
