NORMAN, Okla. – The Reese’s Senior Bowl announced Thursday that center Gabe Ikard has been added to its South roster. Ikard will join fellow Sooners Aaron Colvin and Jalen Saunders who had already accepted invitations to the annual all-star game in Mobile, Ala. The contest will be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium at 3 p.m. on January 25 and will be broadcast by NFL Network.

Ikard was a consensus All-America for the Sooners in 2013 and was the winner of the Wuerffel Trophy and the Selmon Spirit Award. He was also one of 16 winners of the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award and as the Capital One Division I Football Academic All-America of the Year. A two-year team captain, the Oklahoma City native played in 52 games (50 starts) during his OU career. Ikard anchored an Oklahoma offensive line that helped the Sooners rack up 223.9 rushing yards per game, the top single-season mark produced during Bob Stoops’ 15 years at OU.

Colvin was a consensus All-Big 12 First Team pick and was a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. The Owassa, Okla., product captained an Oklahoma defense that led the Big 12 in total defense (350.2 ypg) and pass defense (212.5 ypg), while ranking second in the league in scoring defense (22.1 ppg). In 50 career games (36 starts), Colvin registered 234 tackles (170 solo), 15.0 TFL, five interceptions, a forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, 23 pass breakups and 3.5 sacks.

Saunders spent the final two seasons of his collegiate career with the Sooners. He was an All-Big 12 Second Team selection by the coaches in 2013 as a wide receiver and earned All-America Third Team honors from Athlon Sports. Saunders ranked second in the Big 12 and ninth in the nation with a 15.4-yard punt return average in 2013 and scored two punt return touchdowns. In 48 career games (30 starts) at Oklahoma and Fresno State, the Elk Grove, Calif., native caught 203 passes for 3,085 yards with 26 touchdowns, while posting a 15.0-yard career punt return average and three scores.
