The Mosier Indoor Facility completes the John Jacobs Track and Field Complex.
Funded by a major gift from Henry David and Ida Mosier, the Mosier Indoor Facility makes the Jacobs Complex one of the country's most versatile for track and field training and competition.
The facility was built in 1986 and features a six-lane, 220-yard track with a Mondo surface.
Prior to the start of the 2004 season, a number of changes were made to the facility that relocated field event areas and created more room for spectator seating.
Mosier is linked to the Everest Indoor Training Center, the football program's indoor facility, by a connecting structure containing restrooms and concessions. The north end of the Mosier Facility opens onto John Jacobs Field, allowing athletes to warm up inside before competing outside and, when conditions are poor, the relocation of events.

Weight Room

With a boost from the program's booster club, the Spike Club, the University of Oklahoma Track and Field program boasts one of the country's largest track-specific weight rooms.
The 3,760 square foot room is located within the Mosier Indoor Facility and is exclusive for track and field athletes at OU.
Stocked with a variety of free weights and weight machines, the room gives OU track and field athletes the ability to freely engage in strength and conditioning exercises without other sports impeding the time.

The room is also bolstered with the addition of another Spike Club purchase, a performance enhancing video training application called Dartfish.

Henry D. Mosier

Henry D. Mosier passed away in 1966 followed by his wife Ida in 1976. The Mosiers left a major portion of their estate to the University of Oklahoma to benefit its students. In addition to the endowment of the track facility, a $1.75 million dollar gift was used in construction of a building and major scholarship programs for OU's College of Pharmacy.
