NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma women's gymnast Rebecca Clark could already have marked 2013 as her breakout season. After falling to a season-ending injury in 2012, the sophomore standout rebounded to capture first-team All-America honors on the uneven bars and help OU to a second-place finish at the NCAA Championships this year.

It's been over a month since Clark stood on the awards podium for the Sooners, but accolades for her work as a student-athlete continue to roll in. On Thursday, the Blue Springs, Mo., native became the fourth gymnast in program history to be named an Academic All-American.

Clark was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America Women's At-Large Third Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced. The Capital One Academic All-America honor recognizes the nation's top-student-athletes for their combined performances, athletically and in the classroom.

Clark was one of only six gymnasts nationally to earn a place on the three Academic All-America lists. With her selection, she now joins Brittany Koncak-Schuman (2006-07), Haley DeProspero (2009) and Megan Ferguson (2012) as Sooners to earn one of the nation's most prestigious academic honors for a student-athlete.

An accounting major at Oklahoma, Clark was also an Academic All-Big 12 selection this season. She was the NCAA Norman Regional co-champion on bars and the Big 12 co-champion on beam.
